Q: What type of events are organized by LCD?
A: LCD organizes workshops, classes, laboratories, sprints, meetings, exhibitions, residencies, test tubes, among other events.
Q: How can I register?
A: The registration process is carried out online, using the availabe form. The entire process takes place online and all questions will be answered quickly by email.
Q: I would like to make a proposal, is it possible?
A: Yes, we are receptive to proposals, suggestions and ideas. To submit an idea simply contact us through the contact form.
Q: Where does the activities take place?
A: With few exceptions the activities take place at the LCD in the Center for Art and Arquitechiture Affairs (see contacts).
Q: What is Open Lab?
A: The Open Lab is the main activity of LCD. It is a weekly meeting of artists, designers and hobbyists interested in developing projects and experiments at the intersection of art, science and technology. It is free and open to all.
Q: Can I join Open Lab?
A: Yes, Open Lab is open to all people over the age of 18. It is an open and free activity. For young people we have Junior Lab.
Q: What kind of projects are develop there?
A: There is no limitation regarding the type of project that can be developed in the laboratory. Members can engage in artistic, educational, commercial, technological projects, amog others, or confined themselves to simple experiments.
Q: What are the areas?
A: The main areas are programming, electronics, digital fabrication, audio, video, photography, among others. There isn't a definite limit to the laboratory areas, the interests are always expanding and depend exclusively on the projects of the members.
Q: What kind of support is available?
A: During the Open Lab sessions, which take place on Tuesdays from 20:00 to 24:00 the LCD has counselors who help members with questions about electronics, programming and other core areas of the LCD. This support is free but is only given to members who are developing a project.
